Program is open to:
·        Barnard students, faculty, staff
·        Barnard alumnae with a Sports Facilities Pass
Refund deadline:   tba
ALL PASS includes all Fitbear classes for the entire semester.
Any class with low attendance is subject to cancellation.
Classes are multi-leveled.  Late policy - 5 minutes.
Athletic shoes required for all classes except Yoga and Barre Fit.

FITbear Information

All classes meet in Studio 2, Barnard Hall.

Barre Fit – Ballet-inspired workout to tone legs, arms and core.  Improves posture and balance. 
Core Fit – Quick workout for the abs and back.  
Sculpt – Muscle toning for the whole body using weights, bands and bars.
Total Body – Targeted intervals of cardio, strength, and core for the whole body.
Yoga – Breathe, stretch and strengthen with vinyasa flow yoga poses and focus.
Zumba – Dance fitness class set to Latin and International music.
Athletic shoes required for all classes except Yoga and Barre Fit.

FITbear Learning

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR TRAINING - usually offered in Spring semester
Learn to teach group fitness classes including cardio, sculpt, barre.   Includes instruction in class formats, choreography, cueing, music selection, injury prevention and more.  After finishing the course, go on to teach in Fitbear (and other programs).  Bring or wear exercise clothes.

ADULT CPR with AED - usually offered in Spring semester
American Red Cross Lifesaving courses. Adult CPR includes breathing and heart emergencies. Contact for more info.
FIRST AID - usually offered in Spring semester
First Aid includes muscle, bone and soft tissue injuries. Contact for more info.


Private Sessions

Personal Training - visit the PE Office, 200 Barnard Annex.

Let our trainers help you design your exercise program. Meets in the Fitness Center in Barnard Hall.
Cost: 30 minutes session $35
Hours available: vary by day

Appointments must be scheduled in advance and in person in the Physical Education Office, 200 Barnard Annex. Full payment is required when the appointment is made. Cash or check only.

Want to plan a fun fitness event for your on-campus group? 
FITbear can sponsor your event in our studio and with our instructors!
We offer zumba, sculpt, and yoga classes/workshops for a $50 event fee.
Please give us 3-4 weeks notice, and we'd be happy to work with you!
