·   Barnard alumnae with a Alumnae Fitness Pass (included).
Any class with low attendance is subject to cancellation.
Classes are multi-leveled.  Late policy - 5 minutes.
Athletic shoes required for all classes except Yoga and Barre Fit.

DESCRIPTIONS:

Barre+Core– A barre-less ballet inspired workout to tone legs, arms, core. Improves posture and balance.
Core Fit – Quick workout for abs, back, legs.
Sculpt – Muscle toning for the whole body using weights, bands and bars.
Total Body – Targeted intervals of cardio, strength and core for the whole body.
Yoga+Core – Faster paced yoga class including core strength exercises.

Athletic shoes required for all classes except Yoga and Barre Fit.

    ADULT CPR/AED/First Aid - tba
    Blended Learning Course:  2 parts (online and in person). 
    MUST COMPLETE online portion prior to skills session.

    American Red Cross Lifesaving courses. Adult CPR includes breathing and heart emergencies. Contact fitbear@barnard.edu for more info.
     
    FIRST AID - see above

    Private Sessions

    Personal Training - visit the PE Office, 200 Barnard Annex.

    Let our trainers help you design your exercise program. Meets in the Fitness Center in Barnard Hall.
    Cost: 50 minutes session $45
    Hours available: vary by day

    Appointments must be scheduled in advance and in person in the Physical Education Office, 200 Barnard Annex. Full payment is required when the appointment is made. Cash or check only.

    Want to plan a fun fitness event for your on-campus group? 
    FITbear can sponsor your event in our studio and with our instructors!
    We offer zumba, sculpt, and yoga classes for a $50 event fee.
    Please give us 3-4 weeks notice, and we'd be happy to work with you!

      Informed Consent and Liability Waiver Release for Participation in Exercise Program
      I agree and consent to the following:
    • I am voluntarily participating in the Fitbear fitness program (the “Program”) conducted at Barnard College. I recognize that the Program requires physical exertion that may be strenuous at times and may cause physical injury and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.  I know that any form of physical activity has inherent risk for illness or injury, ranging from minor debilitating injuries to actual life-threatening events.
    • I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damage known or unknown which I might incur as a result of participating in the Program. I am responsible for understanding my own physical limitations and operating within them at all times.
    • I know I should not enter into any form of physical activity unless I am medically able. I do represent and warrant that, to the best of my knowledge, I do not have any physical limitation that would put me at risk while participating in the Program.
    • I further understand and agree to assume responsibility for all risk of theft, loss or damage of personal property which occurs at anytime arising out of my participation in the activity.
    • To the extent permitted by law, and in consideration for being allowed to participate in the Program, I hereby save, hold harmless, discharge and release Barnard College, its trustees, officers, agents, employees and representatives from any and all liability, claims, causes of actions, damages or demands of any kind and nature whatsoever that may arise from or in connection with my participation in any activities related to the Program, whether caused by the negligence or carelessness of Barnard College, its representatives or otherwise.
    • It is my express intent that this Informed Consent and Liability Waiver shall forever bind my spouse, the members of my family and my estate, heirs, administrators, personal representatives and assigns. I further agree to save and hold harmless, indemnify and defend, and release Barnard College, its trustees, officers, agents, employees and representatives from any claim by the aforementioned parties arising out of my participation in the Program.
    • By entering a Barnard Physical Education class or event, I consent to be photographed or otherwise recorded by the College or its designee for news, promotional purposes, or other College uses, including but not limited to publication of such recordings on its website and social media.
    • I have read the above waiver and release of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
