Classes meet in Studio 2.
Program is open to:
·        Barnard students, faculty, staff
·        Barnard alumnae with a Sports Facilities Pass
Each Pass allows you to attend any class within your specific pass for the entire semester.
The ALL PASS includes all Fitbear classes for the entire semester.
Class availability is “first-come, first-served.”
Any class with low attendance is subject to cancellation.
Classes are multi-leveled.  Late policy - 5 minutes.
Athletic shoes required for all classes except Yoga and Pilates.

FITbear Information

CLASSES BEGIN in Sept.  More info soon.  
Sculpt – Muscle toning for the whole body using weights, bands and bars.
Fit Mix – Participant driven class combining intervals of cardio, sculpt, core and stretch.
Total Body – 30 minute targeted intervals of cardio kickbox, core (conditioning for the abs and back) and power stretch (a new class to lengthen and strengthen).
Pilates – Mat exercises for the “core”: abs, back and hips.
Yoga – Traditional hatha / vinyasa poses with breathing and meditation.
Zumba – Dance fitness class set to Latin and International music.
Athletic shoes required for all classes except Yoga and Pilates.

FITbear Learning

Learn to teach group fitness classes including cardio, kick box, step and sculpt. Prepares for national certification.  Includes instruction in class formats, choreography, cueing, music selection, injury prevention and more.  After finishing the course, go on to teach in Fitbear (and other programs).  Bring or wear exercise clothes.

ADULT CPR with AED - info coming soon
American Red Cross Lifesaving courses. Adult CPR includes breathing and heart emergencies. Contact for more info.

First Aid includes muscle, bone and soft tissue injuries. Contact for more info.


Private Sessions

Personal Training - info coming soon

Let our trainers help you design your exercise program. Meets in the Weight Room in Barnard Hall.
Cost: 30 minutes session $35
Hours available: vary by day

Appointments must be scheduled in advance and in person in the Physical Education Office, 200 Barnard Annex. Full payment is required when the appointment is made. Cash or check only.
